What is Global Warming?
Global warming is basically called climate change and it’s most basic definition is the rise in the average temperature of Earth. Global warming affects all the living things on Earth since every living thing is adapted to a certain temperature and they can not live in high temperatures. One of the living beings that is affected in a negative way by global warming are the polar bears.

Negative Effects of Global Warming on Polar Bears
Christine M. Hunter and Hal Caswell states the negative effects of global warming on polar bears. They state that the polar bears entered the list of threatened species in May 2008 because of global warming (Christine M. Hunter, Hal Caswell, “Climate Change Threatens Polar Bear Populations: A Stothastic Demographic Analysis”, Ecological Society of America, 2009, p.3). This statement shows the hugeness of the effects of global warming on polar bears. They say that the ice in Arctic areas melt because of global and since sea ice is a must for the polar bears they get affected negatively by the melting of sea ice. They add that because of global warming, the life span of polar bears and the population growth rates decrease (Christine M. Hunter, Hal Caswell, p.2). In addition, they say that the polar bears cannot find suitable shelter and food for them (Christine M. Hunter, Hal Caswell, p.2)
In another article, it is stated that the polar bears’ life depends on the amount of ice. warming (Ian Stirling, Claire L. Parkinson, “Possible Effects of Climate Warming on Selected Populations of Polar Bears (Ursus maritimus) in the Canadian Arctic”, Arctic Institute of North America, September 2006, p.1). They say that the hunters in the arctic areas state that less polar bears are being seen in the area compared to old times, which means global warming decreases the polar bear population, as it is also found in the first article. They add that the polar bears are searching for new food resources and the ones that cannot find new food resources dies because of decreasing body fat.
Conclusion
As a conclusion, as the two articles state, global warming decreases the lifetime of polar bears and also it decreases the food sources of polar bears. These negative effects will not change until we do not do something to decrease global warming. In my opinion, we do not have the right to affect the life of other living beings so we need to do what the researchers offer us to do in their articles. People all around the world are not enough aware of global warming and we are living in this world like the whole world belongs to human beings. So, as a result, everyone should learn about the global warming and everyone should behave by knowing there are other living things in the world.
